Heat pump sizes
The following size heat pumps must be fitted into the following size geysers: 3.5kW heat pump – 100/150 litre geyser, 5.5kW heat pump – 200/250 litre geyser, 7kW heat pump – up to 450 litre geyser
Heat pump/Geyser
You still need a geyser if you have a heat pump. The heat pump is not an instantaneous water heater. The geyser becomes a storage vessel and a back-up heat source should the heat pump fail.
Heat pump maintenance
The heat pump should be serviced yearly by a heat pump technician to increase its lifespan. Re-gassing of a heat pump is a common maintenance requirement.
Heat pump repairs
If your heat pump is older than 2 years and out of warranty you can call Kwikot who will assess the extent of the repairs and issue a quote for the repairs.
Heat pump beeping alarm
A beeping alarm in a heat pump indicates an error has occurred. This error will not clear itself and the machine requires attention. The error code will be displayed on the control panel and the diagnostics of the codes
Heat pump warranty
The warranty on the entire machine is for 2 years from date of installation, or from the date of manufacture if no proof of installation date can be provided.
